I started Hello Digital because, at almost every place I’ve worked, I somehow became the go-to girl for anything tech.
A printer wouldn’t connect. Someone needed help with Excel. A new system had to be figured out. An app wasn’t behaving. Someone wanted to know how to use a new tool. The question became pretty familiar:
“Ask Storm.”
After working across very different businesses, I realised two things: I’m really good at figuring technology out, and I genuinely enjoy helping other people feel comfortable using it. That’s where Hello Digital began.
My working life has taken me through some very different industries — including a crypto trading firm, recruitment software, logistics, insurance and hospitality.
Each environment came with different systems, different tools and different ways of working. That variety taught me how to learn new technology quickly, understand what people are actually trying to achieve, and find the simplest way to get them there.
Over time, I became especially comfortable with the everyday technology that keeps homes and businesses running: Microsoft Office, email, digital files, websites, social media, business systems, devices and, increasingly, AI. I keep learning because technology never really stands still.
I make a point of keeping up.
AI has made the digital world move even faster, and it can be difficult to know which tools are genuinely useful, which are just hype, and what is safe to use.
I spend time exploring new technology, testing tools and understanding how they can actually help in everyday life and business.
My job isn’t to turn you into a tech expert. It’s to help you use technology with a little more confidence.
When someone gives me access to their phone, computer, files or business systems, I understand that there’s a lot of trust involved. I work carefully, explain what I’m doing and ask before changing anything important. Passwords, PINs and private information stay yours.
If something is outside my experience or needs a specialist, I’ll tell you that too.
